Our Story

Stone Construction has served Houston, Harris County, and the surrounding counties for over two decades. We began as a small interior contractor with a core of committed clients and subcontractors. To this day, we are fortunate to still maintain many of these decade-spanning relationships. We also have built a network of strong partnerships with subcontractors who wholly share our vision of uncompromising quality and long-term commitments.

As we have grown, so have our capabilities and our list of successes. We still tackle every job with the same initial dedication and thoroughness, from small interior remodels, to hundreds of thousands of interior buildout feet at a time, to commercial developments. 

Whether it’s a 20-foot wall or a 20-floor office, we approach every project with the same ideals that have helped us maintain and grow our Stone Construction family.

Meet Some of the Stone Construction Family

Jon Stone

Jon is responsible for direction and oversight of daily operations and the development and perpetuation of client relations. His unique approach to customer service over the last two decades has given him the ability to cultivate strong and long-lasting relationships with each of his clients. This distinctive demeanor and methodology to business have also given him the ability to build equally strong bonds with his employees and subcontractors to a level where retention is nearly unequalled in the business. In both cases, Jon maintains these kinships by ensuring that the company has the outlook of a specialized and highly professional firm AND the values of an extended family.

His philosophy at work is a direct reflection of a lifetime of philanthropic pursuit. He is an Eagle Scout and a leader in several charitable organizations, such as the Gateway Academy and Lord of the Streets.

A Texas A&M graduate, Jon’s experience and highly personal hands-on approach have allowed him to work with some of Houston’s finest organizations.

In his infrequent downtime, Jon enjoys developing Jonrassic Park, an exotic game ranch.

James Stone

James has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and surrounding verticals. His development experience has encompassed medical, retail, and commercial projects of all scopes and sizes, with a special affinity for interiors.

James focuses on the financial and operational aspects of the firm, including contracts, estimating, and project management. He has a sound background in real estate development and commercial construction lending, and is also a licensed real estate broker.

James is married and is the proud father of triplets.
